Fall TV Looking Better Already

Normally, I am very hesitant about the beginning of Fall. Sometimes your favorite shows come back with the same vigor and formula that you love, while some try to add something new to the mix. With this blog, I hope to keep you updated on a number of shows to look forward to, while I vent about whatever has happened to me. Hopefully, you'll get a laugh and some good information at the same time.

My first pick is the Showtime show Dexter. Before this season, it was one of the best written shows on television, and this season doesn't appear to disappoint. Starting off slow with its season premiere, we get a glimpse of what the main character Dexter Morgan, a serial killer, is like when there really is no emotional mask to put on. The scenes were well chosen, and even if the possibility of romance being hinted between Deb and Quinn is predictable, I expect the show to make up for it with enough blood and body bags to remind us of why we watch in the first place.

  9. I agree, Dexter's still going strong. It couldn't have been a fast-paced episode anyway, what with the setting changing so dramatically from season 4.

  14. Oh man, the brutal scream Dexter let out at the end was epic! I'm so glad it's back. Although I agree it was a bit of a slow start. Also, some scenes made me very uncomfortable.

Dex telling the kids "I'm sorry for your loss" short circuited my brain a bit.
