House M.D

One of the main shows I was looking forward to this Fall was the return of House M.D. Hugh Laurie is one of the few actors that is on television right now that knows what he's doing season after season. At the end of the last season, we have a bit of a happy ending of sorts where he and his love interest Cuddy get together at the end of the episode and he decides not to take Vicodin.

This season starts up on a note that you're not very used to with this show. Everything is happy go lucky. House isn't being a narcissistic asshole and there really are moments in the show where you wonder "Why would they do this?". I'm hoping that before this show runs me off that it'll come back to the sarcastic humor that its known for. Any thoughts?

  7. At time it can definitely be boring, but it makes up for it in amazing writing and stellar performances by their actors. They also have great taste in music.

  10. House needs to stop being a drama and start being a medical show. Season 1 was far superior to season 6, excluding the bad acting.

  17. IMO House is one of the few shows that has managed to stay relatively good over several seasons. I don't know if House's personality change is going to bode well with fans though.

  21. I just watch the season openings and -endings. That's when the good stuff happens. The episodes in between don't interest me so much, so I'd just read a quick summary of the main storyline before watching the season finale.

  24. The first episode I think started out a bit slow.

This weeks episode, though, was very touching.

I really love how House can get so emotional, while still adding in some humor in a lot of places.
